This project was developed for the “27º Design Award of the Brazilian House Museum” poster competition, during April/May in 2013. On each edition of this Award, the museum promotes a competition in order to create the event’s visual identity, which is entirely based on the winner poster.

For this edition, I developed a poster inspired in the Brazilian improvisation. As a reference, I used the handwriting which is commonly found on popular commerce communication on Brazilian streets. In this kind of sign, the body height variation, the mix of upper and lower case and the line imprecision are notable.

The poster was printed in silkscreen, 2 colors, on a Rosewood sheet.

In the small hours winemaker Donovan Rall stole away with the fruit to The Tea Leaf Chenin Blanc, a naturally fermented expression of this terroir which once was lost but now is truly found.

2Door is a creative audio agency that creates original sound solutions for film, advertising or any other kind of digital media. Among others their clients comprise L’OREAL, Red Bull and Ray Ban.

The two vertical bars symbolise both, the two company founders and volume bars of an audio mixer. That design element ties back to the company’s business: creative audio solutions. The logo type is custom. Business cards, office stationary and marketing materials were aligned with the corporate look and appear in a simple and straight forward manner.

With landscape as a metaphor, the exhibition asks what lies at the heart of our contemporary utopias. From inspiration in the past and urgencies of the present, to projections of possible futures, the needs and virtues of our time (ecology, economy, social cohesion and technology) are extrapolated and implicitly worked into the exhibition and its parallel program. See more on website Bureau Europa, Maastricht.
